Microtech Group COVID-19 Statement

Please see below an important update on Microtech Group contingency and continuity plans, in light of the outbreak of COVID-19.


In response to ongoing concerns regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), Microtech Group have put contingency plans in place to ensure that we are able to maintain support services for our clients.


Our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of our employees and clients, while providing a continuity of service and seamless operation, with as little disruption as possible during this period.

We would like to assure all clients and partners of our continuity of service, while we continue to follow guidance and advice from the Scottish and UK Governments, the NHS and the World Health Organisation.  Due to the nature of our systems, we have implemented remote working business plans to ensure that we will continue to provide support services through this trying time.  This means that there should be little to no disruption to the availability of support, account management or general customer service.


We are well prepared to enable large numbers of staff to work from home, while continuing business as usual and we are also in contact with suppliers to ensure they have appropriate plans in place, having received assurances that service levels will be maintained.

What Microtech are doing:


  • Hand sanitiser’s & signs in appropriate areas around the business
  • Minimal face-to-face meetings
  • Employees should limit physical contact, including shaking of hands
  • Consumption of food and drink should only be undertaken in designated areas and once thorough hygiene measures have been undertaken
  • Employees should ensure good personal hygiene after using toilet facilities
  • Remote working business continuity plans for our staff are in place, ensuring that we can carry on providing support services with little disruption
  • We have clear self-isolating procedures for any staff at risk of infection and are using remote working tools widely to enable our teams to continue business as usual
  • We have the capability to access customer content remotely and any training can be provided using online screensharing platforms for customers
  • Display of prominent information and guidance to employees on notice boards
  • Routing cleaning and disinfection within the business
  • Testing to allow employees to work remotely if required


With immediate effect all visitors to Microtech and all sites visited by Microtech employees will be required to confirm:


  • That they are not experiencing flu-like symptoms – cough, fever, shortness of breath
  • Whether or not they have travelled to infected areas within the last 14 days or had close contact with anyone who has
  • Whether or not they have come into contact with anyone who has tested positive for the virus


We appreciate your understanding and co-operation during this period and will continue to monitor the situation closely and inform you of any changes to our plans as the situation develops over the coming days and weeks ahead.
