New On-Site Tape Validation Service

Following feedback from Health Boards and practices throughout Scotland Microtech Support Limited and Egton Medical Information Systems Limited have worked together to provide new on-site tape validation service to Scottish GP practices.
The new service will be performed by Microtech with on-going, remote, technical support from EMIS where required. This alternative to the existing EMIS service removes the need for tape transportation. Microtech technical staff will perform the validation of the clinical system and DocMan files at the practice giving practice staff access to the data for verification and piece of mind as well as ensuring that patient data remains within and under the control of the practice.
Microtech will contact customers to discuss the new service although existing EMIS TVS contracts and any outstanding tapes will be processed as normal.
